Rolls-Royce
My Grandfather owned a series of Silver Clouds and my father served as a RR apprentice and loved them.
He brought his first Bentley S1 in his 20’s quickly followed by 2 more, then a Silver Cloud I, then a Cloud 2, a 2 with a 3 conversion, then a lovely Cloud III (my fav), 2 x Shadow’s, and finally this black Silver Spirt 26 years ago (and it’s not seen rain in all this time).
My father would not ‘upgrade’ again as in his words “this is the last of the British built Rolls Royce Ltd cars, a real Rolls Royce. Anything newer then this is just a BMW with a chrome plated plastic badge”.
Since his passing it’s now my responsibility to look after the Silver Spirit, and when I pass away it will be handed to the next generation in our family.
I keep it in a secure storage facility, but every now and then it nice to get it out and use it.
